Interview with Andreas Ogrzewalla
Andreas is the new Business Unit Director Ultrasonic Transducers at SONOTEC and would like to introduce himself.
Short bio
After studying in Northern Germany, I received an EU scholarship in Barcelona. Then, I gained experience at Philips Semiconductors (NXP) in logistics and product marketing. Later, I worked as a Global Sales Manager for Thin Film Temperature Sensors at Heraeus. I‘ve held various positions at Underwriters Laboratories, including Country Manager for Iberica and European Sales Director for Medical Devices. After that, I was the Managing Director at PRÜFTECHNIK S.L. in Barcelona, and currently, I‘m the Business Unit Director at SONOTEC.
Something that is easy for me
My strengths lie in being able to adapt easily to new challenges and successfully work with various cultures.
That had a big impact on me
The morals and ethics of my parents, along with my optimistic view of the world and its people, have greatly influenced me. Also, my good relationship with my Spanish in-laws has shaped my perspective on cultural diversity.
Current focus topic
My current focus is on getting to know SONOTEC, my clients, and their challenges better, and developing solutions accordingly.
My balance to work
In my free time, I enjoy sports, spending time with friends, and being with my family.
My best decision of the last 10 years
The best decision of the last 10 years for me was switching from a large company to a family-run medium-sized company. This allowed me to prioritize quality time with friends and family.
I have never ...
... Completed a marathon (and will never do it because of a bad knee)
... Played soccer well (but I‘m good at dancing)
I would like to ...
... Watch the Superbowl in the stadium
... Visit the Wave Gothik Festival (WGT) in Leipzig, Germany
This year I will ...
... Move to the region Halle/Leipzig with my wife
... Go to an AC/DC concert with my daughter
Thank you Andreas for your openness.
